What does the future of innovation in the Americas look like? The 2013 Continuity Forum – hosted by the abc* Foundation in Miami on November 6-7 – is the preeminent annual event for leaders thinking about and implementing investment philanthropy in the Americas. More than 500 business, media, and political leaders will spend two days with a handpicked group of 21 social and environmental innovators from the region. The partnerships that emerge will involve a continuous transfer of knowledge, resources, and access that creates lasting solutions.
Renowned speakers such as Arianna Huffington and David Axelrod focus on how to drive continuity so that the key issues in the Americas — climate change, poverty, education, political stability and freedom, hunger, access to quality healthcare and sustainable economic development — remain the region’s top priorities.
Three initiatives out of the 21 will be selected to receive funding and hands-on advisory, media and marketing support for two years with the objective of reaching jointly identified quantifiable objectives. The abc* Foundation’s goal is to maximize social impact given the threshold of its resources. Consequently, the Foundation selects initiatives that, with the added assistance of its resources, have the greatest potential for maximum scalability. We also seek to provide quality exposure to potential supporters, investors and media for all presenting initiatives through the audience and our press efforts.
